It can be dyed, bleached, permed, or styled using heat tools without causing significant damage.

A hair topper is a crown extension that provides coverage and volume on the crown area. It is similar to the top part of a wig, but does not provide coverage for the entire head. Toppers are intended for those experiencing hair loss or thinning, or who would like to add volume on the top of the head. Unlike a full wig, the natural hair is blended in with the hair on the topper.  There are many cap constructions and base sizes available for varying degrees of hair loss or coverage needs.

1. Part your topper and natural hair in your desired style.

2. Hold the topper above your head and line up its part with your part.

3. Apply at, in front of, or behind your natural hairline.

4. Holding your topper in place with one hand, open up one of the front clips.

5. Flip the clip away from your head so that the “teeth” ends lightly touch your scalp.

6. Gently slide the clip flat against your head which will scoop up some of your biological hair toward the root.

7. Apply pressure to close the clip.

8. Repeat with the other front clip, then attach the back clips using the same method. If you are experiencing any discomfort, open and reattach the clip.

1. Open the clips.Starting with the back, flip the clips away from your natural hair.

2.Use a finger or comb to carefully sweep any hair out of the teeth.

3.Repeat with the front clips.

4.Slowly lift the topper away from the head, freeing any hair remaining in the clips as delicately as possible to avoid pulling it out.

Yes, all of our extensions are temporary extensions, made to be applied without a professional stylist. However, many customers choose to take their extensions to their stylists for trimming and help with fitting if needed.

 Yes you can. Because our hair is 100% human hair all collections can be dyed. Just note that you should only use semi or demi permanent hair dye. You should never ever lift the color, only deposit it. You want to keep your hair healthy. Color darker, never lighter. Please note that dying your hair extensions does void our warranty.

Though we have many colors, many customers deposit color to the extensions in order to achieve their perfect color match. Generally going 2 shades darker is not a problem, but we recommend always doing a test strand first as the extensions will absorb color faster than normal hair. We advise against lightening Wig Spirit Hair Extensions in any way, because the extension has already been color processed. Just as bleaching agents may cause damage to your own natural hair, it can severely damage the extensions. It’s best to seek professional assistance as we cannot guarantee results or be held responsible for any failed color attempts. You can find many YouTube tutorials on how to color human virgin hair extensions, but doing so will VOID any responsibility on Wig Spirit  behalf regarding the hair. If you ordered the wrong color, don‘t worry. You may exchange your Wig Spirit for a different color.

Try to wash your Wig Spirit topper only when it’s 100% necessary. You should aim to wash every 1-2 months or when you feel there is a lot of product buildup making it difficult to style. Since the hair is not attached to your scalp, it will not receive natural oils so you don’t need to wash it as often as you would your own hair. Stay away from shampoos/conditioners with sulphate and use hydrating conditioners if possible.

The lifespan of your Wig Spirithair topper will depend on how often you wear it and how well you take care of it. Your extensions could last up to a year or more.

Yes.They can safely be trimmed, curled, straightened. We recommend a maximum temperature setting of approx. 180c / 350f to avoid damaging your extensions. Like any human hair, too much heat can dry out the hair so we recommend always using a heat protectant before styling the topper.
